- Neat and detailed grammar explanations
- Several languages, including Esperanto
- Decent amount of free material
- Overpriced
- Limited audio
Lingolia's a very handy grammar reference for several major languages as well as Esperanto, but it's definitely overpriced and would be much better if it included audio for all lessons.
Lingolia could best be described as a grammar course or reference for several major languages (German, Spanish, French and English) and one conlang (Esperanto).
The site’s basically structured like a documentation site with navigation for different grammatical topics down the side.
It’s essentially an online textbook.
Lingolia covers quite a lot - it’s very comprehensive in what it offers with extensive topics and subtopics.
But the major drawback is the lack of audio accompanying the lessons.
There are some audio components (for reading/listening exercises), but for most lessons, it’s just a wall of text.
Because of this, I just find it absolutely overpriced.
While I’m not a fan of conlangs like Esperanto, it is a unique addition to see in a paid resource.
There are definitely better alternatives for the languages that Lingolia offers.
